47. How to Let Go and Find Hope Again

We all face times we feel like we can’t go on. It’s in those moments we need to find hope and let go. It’s time to find hope again and let go of the things holding you back.

Hi everyone. I want to thank you for listening or watching today, and I must confess forgiveness was not always easy for me. There was a time I hung on to bitterness. I let it get the best of me. I used that as an excuse to continue doing things that I shouldn’t have, but since I’ve found freedom, In Christ.

I’ve learned to let a lot of that go. Well, I’ve let it all go, but there are still things and people that I have to forgive on a regular basis. Unfortunately, that’s part of the broken world that we live in, but I can tell you that it’s so much better and easier with God’s help to forgive those. That hurt me and so ask God to help you forgive.

This is your key to freedom. Thank you. And enjoy this episode.

Hello everyone and welcome to the Finding Hope Show, episode 47, Letting Go. What are you unable to let go of today? We all find it hard sometimes to let go of that which ails us. Sometimes it could be the smallest. Other times it’s a big fight. It’s a big family feud. Whatever it is, the devil wants you hanging on.

His goal is to have you bitter and outraged and unable to forgive that person that deeply hurt you. And this way you are then unable to grow. And that is our purpose in this life. To grow spiritually, to grow into the person God created us to be, to be better individuals, and not to be sunken down in sadness.

God has a greater, much greater purpose for you and me, but first, we have to put some action into it. We have to first identify what’s really going on in that head of ours. I identify that we’re unable to let go. Maybe you need some counseling. , maybe you need to try and talk to the person that hurt you, but what you need not do is to isolate.

No. The enemy of this world wants you stuck in a corner mad and outraged so that you’re not able to live in peace with anyone. And maybe this bitterness, this outrage, and unforgiveness keep you from your destiny because you’re constantly angry and because you’re constantly angry. Maybe you develop some bad habits.

Maybe you start drinking, or maybe you start drinking more. Maybe you start making constant excuses. to keep going out with the wrong people because it feels good for the moment. Identify what’s really going on and maybe you do need some help, and that’s okay. The first. Slow down. Find some help, Seek some help, some trusted help, and inspiration online if you have to.

But don’t stay stuck in the corner because we’re not meant to stay stuck. We, my friends, are meant to progress. But why? What is the point? Why forgive? I mean, after all, it’s so hard. Sometimes I cringed. Someone may hurt me so badly, you know, making me cry over and over. It happens to all of us, and sometimes the very thought of forgiveness does not seem possible, but with God, all things are possible.

And that’s the wonderful, beautiful thing about God, your creator, and Jesus, your savior. It’s so comforting and hopeful to know that we don’t have to live in unforgiveness and bitterness, but with God, we can learn to let go. And once you discover this freedom, You’re never looking back, you began to gain valuable insight.

As you become to know Christ, you become to have you become aware of all the tools available to you, and that’s much more comforting than going to the tools of the world that are meant to drag us down. Seek out Christ for forgiveness. Identify, and learn to forgive God’s way. And sometimes it takes time and that’s okay.

You know, I’ve known people that just can’t let it go. They’re carrying all this baggage with them and it’s dragging them down and it’s hurting others in the process. And it’s so sad because looking back, you know, being in a place of bitterness myself and then looking back, looking at these people, it’s sad to see the years that they’re wasting, you know, they could be doing things.

If they would just let it go, they could be doing things that serve not only them but more importantly other people. And in this process, they could be learning what life is really about, That there is true joy and peace to be had in this life. We only live once, but if you do it right, That’s enough, right?

So friends God can help you with letting go seek a trusted source and let go so that you can blossom into other things. The time is ticking and I don’t care how old you are, I don’t care how much time you’ve wasted, the point is to stop wasting any more time. And start stepping, What is it you need to let go of today?

You need a boost in the right direction. We all do that. We’re in this together and there are all things, There are all kinds of things that we can all be letting go of big, and small, and things that have been so damaging to our lives. But we can choose to put our foot down and say, That’s enough. I’m moving on.

Enough time wasted. Be an active participant in your life and get moving. So we have to turn the table on this. You see what the enemy’s doing. You’re aware of the problem. You seek God out. For the solution and you turn the table. Martin Luther King says Darkness cannot drive out darkness. Only light can do that.

You may have heard it said before. When you forgive, it frees you. It may be hard, but it gives you a sense of freedom and the person they may not appreciate. Appreciate this forgiveness. They may not care. You may still be angry with them and eventually, that’ll wear off some, but the point is, forgiveness will free you from those chains that are holding you back from being the person that God wants you to be.

The beautiful person, not a person. Stagnant and bound by these chains. No break free from the chains today and turn the table. And it’s hard. We all are in the process of learning. We get angry and frustrated every day. Life itself is hard, and then there are physical things going on with our bodies as well.

hormones. You get them early in life and then you get ’em later in life, right? All these things are weighing against you, so you have to take a stand and be proactive to fight against these things, and you don’t have to do it alone. Choose God to be your guide in this way. The path will be much smoother.

Romans 1220 says, If your enemies are hungry, feed them. If they are thirsty, give them something to drink. In doing this you heap burning coals of shame on their heads, don’t let evil conquer you, but conquer evil by doing good. Romans 1220 through 21. That’s how you conquer evil. Do some good because if you keep lashing back.

You may be as guilty as they are, learn to let go. And then these people that hurt you, that angered you, they will see how you are. Be the example. You have something that they want, you can do it. I believe in you. I’ve been there.

And it’s not over. There are always gonna be more challenges along the way, but you can do this, and I’m praying for you, and I’m rooting for you to let go and move on. This is your sign that there is greater things coming your way. Thank you for listening today. Join me next week for your daily dose of inspiration so that you can have hope in this chaotic world because if it’s anything that we need, it’s hope.

Thank you and be blessed.
