What’s the Point?

Why arm yourself with hope in a world full of chaos? Turbulent times may try rocking your boat but God made you with intention. God may you to excel from the ordinary to the extraordinary. Chocolate and ice cream are nice but there is more to life than chocolate-covered ice cream! Arming ourselves with the wrong things sets us up for distraction.  In a crowded world, we must work to maintain balance. Too much of anything worldly is never good. We must feed our souls with that which will grow us.

Looking around it’s easy to be dragged down. There are days I feel the sting of life’s demands. Sporting and school events, negative people, and bills to pay. If we are secure in who we are life will never take us down. Seek God and remember who you are. First thing in the morning have your Bible open and ready to read before distractions start in. Preparation is crucial to living your best life but we have an enemy that wants us distracted. Arming yourself with the hope of Christ helps defend you against the devil’s tactics.

How do we Do It?

The best way to arm yourself with hope is to put on the Full Armour of God. In Philippians 4:8-9, Pauls says we should arm ourselves with those things that are true, honorable, right and pure, lovely and admirable. Fixing our minds on the right things makes it easier to filter out the bad. Turn off the news, switch off technology. We could probably all agree that social media can be addicting. Put these things in their proper place and put your armour on because you have a destiny to fulfill.

If you’re going through pain and you don’t know God and want this hope, cry out to Him because He cares for you. In the midst of these storms, in the midst of walking through this valley called life, be encouraged that there is something better on the other side. The truth is we need hope to live our best life. Hope allows us to thrive. Hope gets us to the other side of all these things coming against us, to get through to our deeper selves, our higher selves, the people that we were created to be.

Press on in Hope

There are so many that miss their destiny because they fail to arm themselves with the hope of Christ. It’s never too late to put on the buckle of truth and then share this hope with others. Your soul with thank you and your eyes will brighten with hope for the future. In this thing called life, we can smile amidst the storm and all the craziness of the world. Fill your mind with the God of hope and don’t be complacent. We must be active participants in our own lives. The devil knows his time is near and is wants you on his team but you are on the winning team. The team of Jesus Christ.

When you’re in pain and want to give up. If you’re in that deep, dark spot, be encouraged. Doctors may fail you and your friends and family let you, God never will. If you have a Bible it’s time to open it. Tell God you want to draw near to Him. Ask him for the hope you desire. Draw near to God and He will draw near to you. You have to go through it to get to it. Most of us are in the going through part. We are walking through the valley. If we are walking through it that means there’s another side. Believers are guaranteed forever joy that never ends. This is your hope.
